The first set of sample consisted of 12 tubular models, hand-sewn. The samples had been cut by me, hemmed by my girlfriend, who would soon become my wife, Gina Di Luca, the assembly was done by my brother-in-law, Gino Alidori, while my brother Enrico and his wife Vilia had sewn them by hand.

We had made those first samples in our mother's dining room, for production we organized ourselves on the ground floor, which was still to be completed... I was 22 and Enrico was 31.

It all started from there, from that house, from that year... the fantastic 60s were running, the years of our youth!"
